In case you do not follow the world of professional sports, let me bring you up to date. The NFL owners and the NFL players are in a dispute on how to share the revenue generated by the league. The owners argue that their expenses have gone up over the past five years and then would like a bigger share of the profits. The players argue that their long-term health is on the line and they deserve a larger percentage of the profits. It is a case of the billionaires against millionaires.
This morning we learned that a federal judge has ended the owners lockout of the players, which is a move in the players favor. It looks increasingly likely that there will be a 2011 season. This means I will be able to sleep soundly at night, with dreams of James Harrison sacking Joe Flacco dancing in my head.
