Have you seen these mass expansions of water around the world? It is unnatural I tell you. It is an absolute orgy of H20 that separates man from his brother into so called continents. A little water, such as a bath is quite a pleasant experience. But these, Oceans, Seas and Lakes are a completely different story all together. And it is for this reason that I have refused to even dip my toe into the water for the past couple of years and hence developed a slight case of Aquaphobia. This summer that all changed. See I discovered that not all large bodeis of water are bitter cold like Lake Michigan. Some, like those in beautiful South Carolina are actually quite warm, if a bit murky but you can't have everything. So, with caution to the wind, I have plunged myself into a warm delightful Lake and earned the nickname from my mother as a "water baby".
So it is with great pride that I officially announce that my Aquaphobia is cured.
(By the way, I now have a new phobia. After watching my parents run in terror from tiny creatures, I have decided that I too now have an arch nemesis which should be feared. So, now I do a little dance and scream every time I see a flying bug, spider or even ant. Good-bye Aquaphobia and hello Entomophobia)
